Supernatural Gifts: How to Know if You Have One (or Many!)

Much of what we understand as humans is grounded in what can be proven within the bounds of science, leaving little room for transcendent connections. But as a certified intuitive, I know how limiting that perspective is! There are scientifically inexplicable occurrences happening all around us all the time—including personal revelations, sudden visions, and synchronicity—and accurate intuition guides those who stay attuned to them.

By making space for the ineffable, you unlock access to a whole new realm of knowledge and peace with the universe. Part of that exploratory process may even include the discovery or ignition of certain supernatural gifts. 

These precious powers include various spiritual capabilities, such as metaphysical senses, soul reading, manifestation, and, of course, intuition! Sometimes, you just need to activate your natural-born predisposition to reach the full potential that the supernatural has to offer. 

A Guide to Supernatural Gifts

It’s helpful to start by learning about what supernatural gifts are out there so you can become aware of what may be hiding inside. These gifts might overlap, meaning that a person can have an aptitude for multiple different abilities at once. To gain insight into which gift (or gifts!) you possess, let’s reflect inward and consider your unique experiences against the backdrop of the most common psychic talents.

Metaphysical Senses

Clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, clairalience, clairgustance—is your head spinning yet? The many forms of metaphysical sensation actually align with our normal senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste). Claircognizance is an additional sense operation that describes an intensified inner wisdom, often referred to as the “sixth sense.”

Although not everyone is blessed with enhanced cognition, you probably know someone with one of these skills. The coworker who seems extra lucky at playing lottery numbers, the friend who swears by the “vibes” of a room, or the parent who genuinely feels their children’s pain are all examples of people whose senses might be heightened compared to the average person. 

And if you’ve had firsthand metaphysical sensory moments, keep tuning into those sensations to gauge your own specialty. The more you do, the more you’ll begin to notice.

Soul Reading

A soul reader embraces their ability to read the human soul and relies on tools like metaphysical sensations or intuitive urges to do so. This enables them to glimpse the inner nature of themselves or others to unveil deeply rooted feelings, problems, or wounds which can then be addressed and resolved in a healthy way. 

There’s real healing in soul reading: when those unrealized truths finally come to light, they set us free from the negative or stagnant energy they’ve been channeling.

To foster your own manifestation, try keeping a journal to achieve a focused mindset and track notable milestones. When your intentions become clearer, your manifestations flourish.

The challenge with manifesting is that any misalignment in your life threatens to disrupt the relationship between you and the universe, weakening your communication and lessening the chances of successful manifestation. If you run into obstacles that are hard to identify, you should listen to your inner voice to get back on track. There are lots of reasons why manifestation may not be working for you with just as many solutions. So don’t get discouraged!

Intuition

Lastly, supernatural gifts as a whole involve an intuitive bond between your soul and the universe. This bond is sacred and deserves to be nourished, which is why it’s so important to commit yourself to intuitive studies: if you build up that intuition, it can take you down a beautiful path. As you explore, you’ll find that intuition colors just about every supernatural gift in some way.

The elevated consciousness granted to people whose intuition connects them to their soul’s message comes from a deeply spiritual source—be that a higher power, the universe, or our spirit guides. As a supernatural gift, intuition taps into this source and steers you in the direction you’re destined to travel, but only if you fully surrender and trust the insights your intuition reveals. 

We’re not meant to know it all, but intuition helps boost us closer to that all-knowing state where we’re led by a lighthouse within our hearts that gives us the chance to live confidently and authentically. Look for that light and journey accordingly.
